Support SCS in Alberta

June 13, 2021 by Petra Schulz

Day of Action in YYC - Calgary, AB

June 26, 2021, 12:00pm to 1:00pm in Central Memorial Park (1221 2 St SW)

Our Joint-Statement on Alberta’s War on Harm Reduction

#ShareFactsOnDrugs #WorldDrugDay #SupportSCS #DrugPolicyDeathAB

Come and join fellow Albertans concerned about overdose deaths that are spiralling out of control while the government cuts life-saving harm reduction services, including supervised consumption sites.

Two sites have already been closed (Lethbridge, the busiest in North America, and Boyle Street, the busiest site in Edmonton) and they plan to close at least one more (Safeworks in Calgary, currently the busiest site in AB).

We know that #SCS not only saves lives but also keeps people healthy, connects them with services and saves money for the health system.

Help us fight this unjust assault on harm reduction that means more people will die.

More information is also available on our FB page. This event is hosted by Albertans for Ethical Drug Policy, a coalition of concerned organizations and individuals.

Can’t make the event? A simple way to SUPPORT SCS IN AB is to change your social media profile photo to our Support SCS logo. Keep it for a day, a week or longer.
